Erykah Badu encourages Drake to respond to Kendrick Lamar on Twitter

Erykah BaduOne element of hip hop that has come back, along with many others, is the art of competition. Hip hop had become a little too friendly and, like it or not, Kendrick Lamar shook things up even though it was a long time coming. Kendrick Lamar is being positioned to go at Drake, but it seems unlikely.

In a recent interview, Drake said he would not respond to Kendrick Lamar and a lot of artists he mentioned may not collaborate with him. Only a few weeks after “Control” dropped, Pusha T got on a track with Kendrick Lamar. Feeling he is already in hip hop’s top position, Drake does not feel like responding.

Erykah Badu performed with Kendrick Lamar at the 2013 BET Awards and she has followed him since then. Drake may not feel like responding to Kendrick Lamar, but others disagree. When she took to her Twitter early this morning, Erykah Badu encouraged Drake to keep the competition going.
