Hosting the Soul Train Awards, Erykah Badu is quietly buzzing again. It all started when she jumped on Drake’s “Hotline Bling” and delivered a much-discussed remix. From there, Erykah Badu revealed it was Drake who inspired her to record her new mixtape.

Often, however, Erykah Badu takes a lot of time off in between her album releases. Five years have passed since Erykah Badu released a new album. This time, Erykah Badu is releasing a mixtape before she goes into her next LP.

Recently, Erykah Badu stopped by “The Breakfast Club” and she talked about her new mixtape. During the interview, she spoke on her new mixtape and Drake before talking about Jay Electronica’s debut album that Jay Z announced in 2008. She also discussed being a reclusive and much more.
