Ten years have passed since Eve last released an album. Five years ago, Eve attempted to release a comeback album. During the late 1990s and the early 2000s, Eve was one of the biggest female rappers in the game, more popular than Lil’ Kim. At the height of her popularity, Eve launched a clothing line and landed a television sitcom.
For three years, Eve enjoyed a popular sitcom, until the network ceased operations. Eve released her last album months before her sitcom started broadcasting. In the end, her clothing line also failed and Eve decided to return to her first passion. However, Eve found herself unable to secure a release date, despite popular singles.
After a few more attempts, Eve disappeared from the public eye. Recently, Eve sat down with TheWomenOfHipHop.com to discuss her upcoming projects. In addition to announcing the looming release date of her album, Eve also mentioned the new crop of female rappers in the game, praising them all. Eve even gave her take on the high profile feud between Lil’ Kim and Nicki Minaj.
