Nima Nomeni arrested for stabbing of Cash App founder Bob Lee
Over a week ago, Cash App founder Bob Lee was fatally stabbed in San Francisco. At the time, it was unclear who the suspect was, or the motive.
However, an arrest in connection to Lee’s murder has now been made. According to Mission Local, this was done on Thursday, in Emeryville, CA. This is outside of San Francisco, as the suspect apprehended is Nima Momeni, who is the founder of ExpandIT, a Silicon Valley tech start-up. He is set to be arraigned on Friday.
Apparently, Lee and Nomeni also knew each other. The SF D.A.’s Office also revealed that they’re filing a motion to lock up Momeni without bail, as a result of “severe public safety risks.” Moment and Lee were also said to have been driving together on the night of April 4, in San Francisco. Therefore, an argument went on to ensue, it escalated, and resulted in the fatal stabbing. The stabbing reportedly occurred after the two got outside of the vehicle.
Lee was stabbed twice by Nomeni, as he ended up passing away on the street, after asking for help. The used knife has since been recovered by authorities.
