Faith Evans Blasts Lifetime Documentary, ‘Hopelessly in Love,’ About Her Relationship With The Notorious B.I.G; Says She Doesn’t Want To Damage Repaired Relationships and Soil The Legacy of B.I.G [VIDEO]

Lifetime has definitely been on a roll, this week. On Wednesday, they were back at it with part two of their three-night ‘Surviving R. Kelly’ series, which dived into the women he sexually assaulted who were underage. Last night, the network began their ‘Hopelessly in Love’ series which featured the story of former NFL Pro Bowler Andre Rison and the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes who was a member of TLC.

Next week’s two-hour documentary tells the story of the relationship between Faith Evans and the legendary The Notorious B.I.G. Evans is far from happy of how she and B.I.G. are portrayed though. She told Page Six that “I feel upset that I’m attached to it. I was told that it would be a positive piece with a little more of my personal background. It wasn’t pitched to me as a story rehashing the sensationalized events that took place.” Their relationship is labeled by Lifetime as the “most controversial love story in hip-hop history.

Evans added that with this documentary, she doesn’t want to open old wounds, damage relationships that’ve already been repaired, and to soil the legacy of B.I.G. She even thinks that she was duped into being involved with Hopelessly in Love. It’s hard to imagine that she didn’t have any control over how things would be portrayed but this is often the case with documentaries about celebrities. This will definitely be very interesting on January 10 at 9:30 pm ET though.
