As of late, there is a renewed interest in “Family Matters,” which has trended on social media twice in the past few months. Reruns of the show are popping up on BET, Centric, and a host of other channels. A lot of people forgot how good the show really was.
Over the years, the constant reruns left many drained of the over-the-top antics of Steve Urkel (Jaleel White). But, the reruns stopped, only resuming late last year. Now, many are enjoying the nostalgia the reruns of “Family Matters” brings.
Finally, Darius McCrary is making a name for himself outside of the show. He had a breakout role as Gerald Levert in TV One’s The Miki Howard Story and, of course, he played the role of ‘Otis’ on “Star” as Simone’s (Brittany O’Grady) abusive foster father. But, he was simply Darius in the photo he took with Jaleel White, showing how much time has passed.
