Fan at Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival, Allegedly Injected People With Drug; as at Least Eight People Have Died

Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival’s return has been a complete disaster. Friday was day one of the festival, as Travis Scott, Drake, SZA, and more performed. At the same time though, eight people went on to die, that night.

People sustained injuries while in the tight area, close to stage. Now, it appears that many were drugged as well. This comes after 300 people were injured, with 11 people suffering from cardiac arrest, and getting sent to local hospitals.

Day 2 of the Astroworld Festival also went on to officially get canceled. Now, a TMZ report states that a fan in attendance also reportedly went out of their way to harm others. They were allegedly in the crowd during the show, and started injecting a drug, into people. That’s when widespread panic started to spread. Among the people who died, is a 10-year-old. Sources close to the situation claim that what happened here, was a “targeted attack.”

50,000 people were in attendance, in total, as other stars such as Roddy Ricch, Lil Baby, Don Toliver, and more. Travis initially announced the festival’s return, back in May. Tickets sold out in a hurry, even without the official lineup being revealed yet. This was the first Astroworld Fest since 2019, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and unfortunately, it’s come to an end quickly, due to horrific circumstances.

Check out some of the chaos from Astroworld, along with the festival’s full statement about these tragedies, below.
