Few artists have ever been able to reach the status Beyonce has, while still living, arguably not even Michael Jackson. Nothing can take away from MJ’s greatness, but his legacy wasn’t fully appreciated until after his death. But, Beyonce has been appreciated since day one.
While continuing to be the biggest name in music, Beyonce strategically separated herself from the rest of the crowd. Because of this, Beyonce is truly treated as if she’s a living icon. With that comes pressure, but it’s pressure Beyonce actually has lived up to.
The simple fact that a fan had to ask the question of who the male version of Beyonce is proves her status. This question sparked a ton of responses, too. Fans on Twitter questioned who this man would be, arguing it can’t be Jay-Z, Janelle Monae (?), Bruno Mars, Chris Brown, or Usher, saying it was Beyonce in drag (lol).
