FOX hit primetime soap opera, “Empire,” took the world by storm during its first season. Starring Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson, “Empire” is a weekly show that draws upon all of hip hop’s favorite movies and moguls. The show portrays the hip hop lifestyle like never before.

Series creator, Lee Daniels, has stated “Empire” has taken elements from the real life of Jay Z and Diddy. They inspire the central character, Lucious, portrayed by Terrence Howard. Other inspirations include Al Pacino in Scarface, Berry Gordy, and many other real life music moguls.

“Empire” ended a month ago, but fans desperately miss the show. Because of this, they have been thrown a bone with a YouTube documentary based on the plot of the show. This shows the behind the scenes look at the “Empire” storyline prior to episode one and this is where Cookie’s real name is finally revealed, among other things.

Guest appearance from Porsha Williams on Dish Nation.
