Fans on Twitter question why “The Game” didn’t have Derwin, Malik, and Jason reunite #TheGameBET #TheFinalGame

The Game trioLast night marked the end of an era, as “The Game” ended after airing nine years on The CW and BET. The first five seasons of the show centered around the love of Derwin Davis and Melanie Barnett. These main characters were played by Pooch Hall and Tia Mowry.

Despite being the main characters of the show, “The Game” wrote Derwin and Melanie out in 2012. Both actors decided to leave the show after a contract dispute. While Melanie (Mowry) left in 2012, Derwin (Hall) was on for one episode in 2013.

At the 2015 BET Awards, “The Game” cast announced to the audience that they were returning for their final season when Pooch Hall rushed the stage to reveal he and Tia Mowry were returning. Their return was for the final episode, but fans demanded them in each episode of the season. Last night, they finally returned and Melanie got a brief reunion with Tasha and Kelly (Wendy Raquel Robinson and Brittany Daniel), but Derwin did not reunite with Jason and Malik (Coby Bell and Hosea Chanchez).

Because of the missed reunion opportunity everyone expected, the fans on Twitter shared their frustrations to the masses.
