Fantasia would go onto have a moderately successful career. Through the years, Fantasia has made good music with Missy Elliott. Outside of the music, Fantasia starred in her reality show, “Fantasia For Real.” In 2013, Fantasia released her last charting single, “Without Me,” with Kelly Rowland and Missy Elliott.

A versatile artist, Fantasia has worn many hats. She has dabbled in acting and Fantasia was a part of The Color Purple plays. Now, Fantasia has been cast for The Color Purple musical remake. The news came in, this evening. Fantasia won the starring role of ‘Celie,’ and she will be playing in this film alongside the likes of Taraji P. Henson and Halle Berry. On her social media, Fantasia shared the video where she learned of her role. Fantasia will be playing opposite Taraji P. Henson, who will be playing Shug Avery. H.E.R. will also be in the remake.
