The last time Fat Joe was on “The Breakfast Club,” with Dre, they were promoting the “So Excited” single. Originally, Fat Joe said he had a big name do the hook, and Dre produced it. However, Dre had to do the hook, himself, and Joe liked it better, so he kept it.
Fat Joe always thinks outside of the box, so he decided to turn his album into a joint album with Dre. Titled Family Ties, Fat Joe decided to get all of his collaborators on this new project. During the promo for this album, Fat Joe revealed this is his last album, and he’s retiring.
However, prior to “All The Way Up,” Fat Joe was very close to retirement, and even stopped releasing albums. Returning, alongside the homie, Dre, to “The Breakfast Club,” Fat Joe discussed the new album. The two spoke of all the big features this new album has.
