Last year, “All The Way Up” put Fat Joe and Remy Ma back on the map, after years out of the spotlight. Both rappers endured prison sentences, although Remy Ma pulled six years. Even without prison sentences, the duo was struggling to recreate their prior successes.
But, Fat Joe had a history of making hits, delivering “We Thuggin,'” with R. Kelly, “What’s Luv?,” with Ja Rule and Ashanti, “Lean Back” with Remy Ma,” “Get It Poppin’,” with Nelly, and “Make It Rain,” with Lil Wayne. After that, Joe struggled for hits. Remy Ma only had one hit.
“All The Way Up” changed this, as Fat Joe overcame his near-decade drought and put out a banger with Remy Ma. Then, Jay Z jumped on the official remix, as Fat Joe and Remy Ma joined both TIDAL and Roc Nation. Now, Fat Joe has another hit on his hands with “Money Showers” being top ten on urban charts, and Top 40, so he and Remy Ma are celebrating.
