In 2009, Fat Joe’s streak of hits finally ended when his J.O.S.E. 2 album was ignored by virtually the entire hip hop community. At the time still going back and forth with longtime nemesis, 50 Cent, he was the butt of his jokes. Fat Joe found himself far away from his former self and returned to his roots.

Earlier this year, Fat Joe enjoyed a triumphant comeback. However, Fat Joe found himself overlooked, again, as Nas enjoyed a mainstream return. There were many positives for Fat Joe, though. The biggest one was finally ending his feud with 50 Cent at the fight-filled 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards.

Now, Fat Joe is traveling down the same road as Ja Rule, Young Buck, and many other rappers after pleading guilty to tax evasion. In the 2007-2008 period, Fat Joe was riding high and it turns out he did not pay taxes for those years. Fat Joe owes $700,000, is currently out on bail, and has his trial in April 2013.
