Right now, Lil Wayne is hip hop’s go-to guy and Fat Joe is one of the reasons for this. Fat Joe began working closely with Lil Wayne in 2006. During this period of time, Lil Wayne left the spotlight for the mixtape scene. Meanwhile, Fat Joe delivered an annual summer hit single. When Lil Wayne felt ready to return to the mainstream, he united with Fat Joe. It did not take long for Lil Wayne to eclipse Fat Joe on his way to taking over the game.
Fat Joe faded to the background, as DJ Khaled, Rick Ross, and Lil Wayne, along with many other affiliated rappers, took over the game. However, no one forgot about Fat Joe, as he decided to use his time wisely. Now, Fat Joe is preparing to make a comeback and Lil Wayne called in a special favor from the former fat rapper. Lil Wayne called Fat Joe to ask him to spray graffiti on the walls of his brand new Miami mansion.
Before his days as a rapper, Fat Joe used to mark buildings all around New York City. This love for art led to Fat Joe being kicked out of several schools. Periodically, Fat Joe would spray, after becoming famous. During his time with Lil Wayne, he shared this talent with him. However, Fat Joe wondered why Lil Wayne wanted him to paint the white walls of his new mansion. Fat Joe told XXL Lil Wayne said he had to have him do it. The room Fat Joe painted will be used for skateboarding and it was an honor, says Lil Wayne, to have it painted with a Terror Squad logo and Fat Joe’s signature.
