Fetty Wap goes gold with “Trap Queen” single

Last year, Fetty Wap recorded the single, “Trap Queen,” and everything changed for him. With help from Hip Hop Vibe’s own, DJ Louie Styles, the single became a major hit. Each month, “Trap Queen” seems to get bigger and bigger.

Six months into “Trap Queen’s” run, Fetty Wap and DJ Louie Styles talked to Hip Hop Vibe about the success of the single. Little did they know, much more was to come. Soon, Kanye West was on stage with Fetty Wap at Jay-Z-sponsored events hosted by Kevin Durant.

Fetty Wap cracked Billboard with “Trap Queen” early this year, getting co-signs from Rihanna in between time. The song recently hit the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100, which has him playing all over the United States. Now, Fetty Wap has received even more good news, as the “Trap Queen” single has gone gold.
