Fetty Wap’s self-titled album has gone platinum
It’s been a fast rise for Fetty Wap, who went from being an unknown aspiring rapper to co-signed by Kanye West and Jay Z. What a difference a year makes, Fetty Wap has done a lot. Ironically, his label is owned by the man who signed Jay Z, Lyor Cohen.
Fetty Wap put out two mixtapes and that ended up being enough to own the game. These two mixtapes contained the tracks, “Trap Queen,” and “679.” Both of those songs were some of the biggest records of 2015.
There was a lot of doubt for Fetty Wap and his longevity. What happens next remains to be seen, but what he has done up to now is pretty impressive. Now, his self-titled debut album has sold 1 million copies and should be certified platinum.
