NPR’s celebration of Black Music Month has been punctuated by a series of extraordinary Tiny Desk concerts featuring some of the industry’s most iconic Black women artists. Throughout June, music enthusiasts were treated to soul-stirring performances from legends like Chaka Khan, Tierra Whack, Kierra Sheard, and more, showcasing the depth and diversity of Black musical talent.
Closing out this exceptional lineup is Flo Milli, whose electrifying Tiny Desk performance was released on Wednesday to widespread acclaim. The Alabama native commanded the stage with renditions of her chart-topping hits including “Conceited,” “Bed Time,” “In The Party,” “Beef FloMix,” “Weak,” and “Never Lose Me,” captivating viewers with her infectious energy and lyrical prowess.
Flo Milli has been dominating since the winter, with her “Never Lose Me” single, which made waves upon its December release. The track gained momentum with remixes featuring Lil Yachty and Bryson Tiller, ultimately finding a place on her highly anticipated third studio album, “Fine Ho, Stay” released in March. The album not only solidified her status as a rising star but also featured collaborations with industry heavyweights such as SZA, Cardi B, Anycia, Monaleo, and Gunna.
