Flo Rilla awarded $82.6 million in Celsius lawsuit

Many know Flo Rida for his breakout 2007 smash hit single, “Low.” That featured T-Pain, as it went on to reach the number one spot in the US, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It’s also currently certified diamond in the US.

However, Flo Rida has recently been suing popular energy drink brand, Celsius. This was due to him being owed $30,000 in a contract breach. Due to Flo’s brand becoming bigger and him helping Celsius since 2014, he has now been awarded $82.6 million in damages, according to TMZ.

The lawsuit reportedly focused on whether Flo’s deal with the company expired after it reached specific sales goals. The Miami rappers says this wasn’t the case, as he continued to make Celsius grow heavily, as a brand. He had been a brand ambassador for Celsius from 2014-2018.  They initially attempted to claim that they experienced their greatest success, after Flo left them.

“Basically, I helped birth this company, and all we was looking for was some trustworthy people who acted as if they were family,” Flo Rida explained to The Associated Press. “And then when it comes down to the success of today, they just forgot about me.”

Flo went on to thank the jury, judge and attorneys in this case, all while hilarious drinking a can of Celsius. Fans have since applauded him for scoring this win in court.
