Nobody can do it quite like Jay-Z, very few rappers have managed to turn a series of platinum albums into a business conglomerate and gain friends in politics. Jay-Z has built a reputation of a staunch Democrat, helping Barack Obama win the presidential elections of both 2008 and 2012. But, he has Republican supporters too.
In the controversial state of Florida, Trey Radel is among their representatives. He is a member of the Republican Party, but decided to give Jay-Z a listen anyway. Very few people would expect a Republican congressman to be listening to Jay-Z, but 2013 is the year of the #newrules.
Trey Radel was taking a flight to Washington, DC, so he decided he would listen to the new Jay-Z album. Making the time go by faster, Trey Radel was enjoying the album and he alerted his Twitter followers, receiving massive praise from hip hop. The GOP politician said the beats were banging.
