In St. Petersburg, Florida, a road rage encounter took an unusual turn. 46-year-old Nolan Goins allegedly resorted to throwing pasta with sauce at another driver. The incident. occurred around 9 p.m. on Thursday on Park Street near Bay Pines Boulevard. It has led to Goins being charged with battery.

The conflict reportedly began over “glaring headlights” which seemed to aggravate Goins. According to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office arrest affidavit, in a fit of rage, Goins hurled pasta from his passenger window. The saucy projectile struck the other driver. As a result, the other driver was left with sauce stains on his arm, legs, and torso. Fortunately, the victim did not sustain any injuries from the encounter. However, there was the temporary inconvenience of being covered in pasta sauce.

Authorities later identified Goins by the matching food stains found on the right sleeve of his shirt. Thus, leading to his arrest. Following the incident, Goins was taken into custody and subsequently released on a $1,000 bond.
