His momentum off this single led to Epic Records signing him and the eventual release of Shmurda She Wrote, his debut EP. Yesterday, Bobby Shmurda ran into trouble with the law, when he and his GS9 crew were arrested. Their arrest was in connection to a drug gang sting operation and their arrest dominated hip hop headlines. Clearly, Bobby Shmurda isn’t pleased with the current turn of events in the wake off all of his success.
Bobby Shmurda, as previously mentioned, reached major heights in 2014. Many of the biggest names in hip hop jumped on the “Hot Nigga” record and it’s still consistently getting radio. But, footage of his arrest from yesterday has now hit the internet and it shows GS9 and Bobby Shmurda being escorted to the police car.
