Together with DJ Mustard, YG brought a different sound into the game inspired by the 1990s-mid-2000s Bay Area. Two years ago, YG was on top of the rap world. At the time, he boasted hit singles with such veterans as Drake and Young Jeezy.
Given how big his debut was, YG took some time off before coming with another album. In the meantime, YG has focused his energy on film projects and only dropping singles. Recently, YG revealed plans to deliver another album.
But, YG will have another story to tell before he completes his album. A lot of the non-Donald Trump discussion is on how police are treating minorities, specifically young black males, and many are getting killed all over the country. Now, YG is added to the list of victims, as he was assaulted and forced to the ground by cops, fortunately he was not killed.
