In the mid-1990s, Foxy Brown rose to fame alongside Jay Z, presented as his ride-or-die. The two made several classic singles in a short period of time, before their careers went in different directions. Recent years have seen struggle for Foxy Brown, but she always fights through.

Foxy Brown returned to the spotlight when Nicki Minaj first emerged, as fans accused her of swagger jacking her and Lil’ Kim. Ultimately, Foxy would embrace Nicki Minaj and the two performed together. Now, Foxy is going to be on one of hip hop’s biggest stages.

This afternoon, Foxy Brown took to her Instagram and revealed she had a meeting with Lee Daniels. The meeting turned out well and Foxy Brown is now cast in season two of “Empire.” Could she also have had a history with Lucious (Terrence Howard), like Mary J. Blige did?
