In a little under a year, Freddie Gibbs has taken the world by storm. Freddie Gibbs has become one of the biggest names in hip hop, without releasing an album. Mixtapes have turned many rappers into major players in the game. The success of Freddie Gibbs was eventually overshadowed by Meek Mill, in 2011, but he still had a solid run.

As he continues to prepare himself for his debut album, Freddie Gibbs plans to continue releasing mixtapes. Last year, Freddie Gibbs closed 2011 with the release of his long-awaited mixtape, A Cold Day in Hell. This year, Freddie Gibbs has turned to DJ Drama for a follow-up to his 2011 release.

Freddie Gibbs discussed his upcoming Gangsta Grillz mixtape, Baby Face Killa with XXL. When comparing the mixtape to previous DJ Drama releases, Freddie Gibbs said his project will be the best Gangsta Grillz mixtape since Young Jeezy’s Trap or Die, which was released in 2005.
