Due to the internet, a lot of rappers have built fan bases and released steady streams of music. Freddie Gibbs is one of those guys who emerged and capitalized off this modern era. A native of Gary, Indiana, Freddie Gibbs is not the typical Midwest rapper.

Instead, Freddie Gibbs is highly influenced by both the Southern trap scene and the West Coast. An odd mixture, Freddie Gibbs represents assimilation in its truest form. With hip hop being an all-inclusive genre, it allows for an artist like Freddie Gibbs to thrive.

Freddie Gibbs has kept quiet for most of 2015, which makes sense, as he is mourning the loss of The Jacka, who died a little over a month ago. A couple of days ago, Freddie Gibbs performed in Oakland and he dedicated his show to The Jacka. Now, he is releasing his EP, Pronto, on March 10 and the project artwork and three tracks listed is included.
