Due to the way Jay-Z’s relationship with Beanie Sigel soured, many also felt there was tension between Freeway and Jay-Z. Even though Freeway denied any issues with Jay-Z, many looked at the moves made by his former boss and questioned the relationship. Since Roc-A-Fella Records became inactive, only one project has been released by Freeway.
Billboard recently caught up with Freeway and they questioned him about his upcoming projects. Updating the music magazine about his projects, Freeway discussed being in the background at Jay-Z’s press conference. Many took Freeway sitting in the background at the press conference as a joke, making fun of the former State Property/Roc-A-Fella artist.
However, Freeway revealed to Billboard that he only attended the press conference in order to show support to his friend. Despite being the butt of the joke, Freeway took it in stride, saying all press is good press.
