New York rappers have longtime migrated to Miami to take a load off. Fat Joe tried something different and became an ambassador for the Miami hip hop scene. This helped DJ Khaled, Rick Ross, Plies, and Ace Hood emerge and now artists such as French Montana are benefiting from this.
Before rap, French Montana was very rich and he was familiar with the Miami lifestyle. To take loads off, French Montana goes down to Miami to party, but his latest trip was for work. French Montana was in Miami to shoot with Rick Ross for his new music video.
French Montana stayed in Miami and played for a while, afterwards. Hanging out with fellow New York City emcee, Fabolous, French Montana called him and Fab the swag kings of New York. Bad Boy label-mate and fellow New York rapper, Red Cafe, also hung out with French Montana, as did Yo Gotti.
