French Montana interview on MTV RapFix [VIDEO]

Hip hop heads are beginning to tune in to the Cinderella story which is French Montana. Perhaps more interesting than French Montana’s rise is the area he is representing. Not only is French Montana doing amazing things in getting himself known, he is doing so and returning New York City’s hip hop scene to prominence. The best part of this all, for the longtime hip hop fans is his hometown, South Bronx, where hip hop originated.

French Montana will agree when many say he is nothing like the artists before him. His different style is what many credit to his success. Many of his collaborations have come with artists in other markets, particularly the South. Before signing with Bad Boy Records, French Montana came close to signing to Maybach Music. The head of Maybach Music, Rick Ross, is from the Miami area, which is in the South.

For French Montana, everything happening is a dream come true. Aside from Lil’ Kim, French was also featured on RapFix Live, speaking with Sway Calloway.
