French Montana Says He Can Go Neck To Neck With Kendrick Lamar When It Comes To Hits and Anthems, After Originally Saying He’d Outshine Lamar at Festivals Because He Has More Hits

French Montana has been catching heat all day as he said in a recent interview with Complex that he’d outshine Kendrick Lamar at festivals and that he has more hits. Fans had to come at Montana on social media and let him know that he had to put respect on Lamar’s name.

Montana is now addressing the backlash this evening on Twitter. He said when it comes to anthems and and hits, he can go neck for neck with Lamar. He added that he’s been making hits for a long time and that he simply believes in himself. Montana also wondered how he was supposed to answer the question.

Montana made sure to let social media know that he still loves Lamar as an artist but he maintains his stance that he believes that he’s up there with the best rappers in the game. Fans on social media continue to disagree with him that he’d outshine Lamar at festivals and when it comes to hits.

Lamar isn’t even trying to force it when it comes to making hits. He knows he’s one of the best rappers out right now and all-time. The quality of his songs become hits organically anyway. He never forces anything. His last album was his fourth studio album ‘DAMN’ back in 2017 and has been on the Billboard 200 chart for three straight years now. His legacy is solidified and everyone knows that Lamar would be the bigger headliner at any festival. He’s put out three straight classic albums in a row with ‘Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City,’ ‘To Pimp a Butterfly,’ and ‘DAMN.’ Montana has been successful for almost a decade now and he deserves respect but Lamar’s greatness has to be respected as well.
