Signs of the game changing were when French Montana and Young Thug rose to fame. Both rappers were associated with Gucci Mane, for a time, but during different timeframes. Still, they dropped hits, during the 2010s.
With so many Instagram battles, due to the Coronavirus quarantine, almost everyone is facing off. The media is still caught up in the back-and-forth, after Fat Joe and Swizz Beatz suggested Ja Rule and 50 Cent battle. Clearly, that won’t happen, but this one will.
French Montana already threw shots, saying he would win against the 2010s’ most-lyrical artist, in the eyes of most, Kendrick Lamar. Fans thought that was crazy, and then Young Thug threw wild shots at French, saying he had more hits. Quickly, it got personal, leading to beef, and French posting the above pic of Thug, telling him to just battle, while calling out his suspect behavior.
