French Montana – “The Genesis” episode 1 [VIDEO]

Much like the other major hip hop moguls, Jay-Z is not limited to simply doing music and managing artists. Along with his large roster of artists and his record-breaking career, Jay-Z also owns the entertainment website, Life + Times. The website has several popular segments, including the “DECODED” series.

Recently, Life + Times launched another series, which premiered today. “The Genesis” is the name of the new series, which will spotlight various artists. While “DECODED” spotlights artists, the focus is only on songs which are broken down, lyric by lyric. But, this new series goes more in-depth.

French Montana is the first artist to be featured on “The Genesis.” In his appearance on this series, French Montana spoke on why he began rapping. The Coke Boys leader talked about the life-changing moment that led him to pursue his career full-time. Safe to say he has had a bit of success since making this decision.
