French Montana Tweets an Apology After Saying That R. Kelly Should Be Able to Enjoy His Legacy: “Let me be clear, my heart is with the victims” [VIDEO]

French Montana has tweeted out an apology after TMZ posted a video of him saying that R. Kelly should be able to enjoy his musical legacy.

He tweeted:

“Let me be clear. My heart is with the victims. I never thought the people I looked up to as a kid, who sang and danced and gave me hope to become a superstar would become drug addicts, child molesters and rapists. I am hoping we as a culture create better leaders. We need them.”

The apology comes after he received backlash for saying that R. Kelly should be able to enjoy his legacy and “whatever happened, happened.” Sounds like this apology is just a quick way to save face and keep his own brand clean.
