Officially a week has passed since the fiasco with Young Money and Hot 97 began, but shots are continuing to fire. Nicki Minaj was slated to perform at Hot 97’s Summer Jam 2012, when Peter Rosenberg took the stage and dissed her “Starships” single. Said to be offended, Nicki Minaj refused to come out and perform.
Lil Wayne soon stated, via Twitter, that the entire Young Money camp would not be performing at Summer Jam 2012. Immediately, Peter Rosenberg and Funkmaster Flex began taking shots at Nicki Minaj. Soon, Nicki Minaj called into Hot 97, only to get into a heated discussion with Funkmaster Flex.
Unable to get her point across, Nicki Minaj would call into Hot 97’s rival, Power 105.1, where they made light of the overall situation, bringing them into the feud. In the time since then, the issues have been between Hot 97 and Power 105.1, once again. The two stations have had issues for well over a decade. Personalities from both stations also have individual feuds with each other, with rumors of Peter Rosenberg once asking Angela Yee out.
With all of that aside, Funkmaster Flex took additional shots at Power 105.1 on his show last night.
