Future reveals “Mask Off” almost never came out [VIDEO]

Future reveals Mask Off almost never came out

Future scored one of 2017’s biggest hits in “Mask Off” and the video was iconic. With Amber Rose in the music video, Future definitely made a statement. After making several hit records, he was out to prove he was number one in the game. At the time, Future released two albums in consecutive weeks. During an interview with Big Boy, Future told him “Mask Off” almost didn’t even come out.

Future rose to fame in 2011, with “Tony Montana” and didn’t look back. At the time, a new era of Atlanta rap was taking over. That time saw Future jostling for position with guys like 2 Chainz, Pill, Ca$h Out, and Waka Flocka Flame. Back then, few people saw Future being the one to go on a run that would last twelve years.

Future made an appearance on Big Boy’s show on Real 92.3. During the interview, he spoke on “Mask Off,” one of the biggest hits of his career. Surprisingly, Future told Big Boy that the song almost wasn’t released. He explained that the song had a sample on it that he wasn’t aware of. As a result, he thought it was left off the album. However, he wasn’t aware the song was even out until it became a hit.
