One of the biggest breakthrough artists of 2011 was Future. Representing Atlanta, Future’s mixtape buzz landed him a deal with L.A. Reid and Epic Records. Early in his career, Future has released two hit singles and has collaborations with T.I., Drake, and Rick Ross under his belt. Future had big plans, at the beginning of 2012, but the plans have changed.
Initially, Future intended to release his debut album, Pluto, on January 24, 2011. The album recently suffered a delay from its original release date. Pluto has been pushed back from the original January 24 date until February 21. With his album still on the way, Future has a mixtape planned to open 2012.
Instead of releasing his album in January, Future will instead release his Astronaut Status mixtape on January 12. Future, nor anyone from his label, have come out to discuss the reason for the delay of Pluto. Still, the Atlanta rapper has his mixtape on the way, as he will drop his new project with LiveMixtapes.com. In preparation of the mixtape, which will drop next week, Future has released an official trailer for the project.
