Future talks “Honest” album, DJ Khaled, “I Won” with Kanye West, Beyonce, and more with Angie Martinez [VIDEO]

The year of 2011 saw a breakout year for the Atlanta hip hop scene. It was this year that saw Future and 2 Chainz gain mainstream fame and appeal. At the time, both rappers were big on the mixtape scene, but they soon broke out and now both have major albums out.

Future is currently working on his second album, Honest, which has gone through several delays. The title track, “Honest,” has been out for a few months and it has remained a favorite on the radio. While Future was at SXSW 2014, he performed a song called “Good Morning” that sounded like Beyonce’s “Drunk in Love.”

All of this was discussed when Future was in New York City and stopped by Hot 97 to speak to Angie Martinez and DJ Cipha Sounds. Outside of his own music, Future has been seen on Instagram in the studio with DJ Khaled and he discussed their work. In the interview, Future spoke on his work with Kanye West on the “I Won” single and how he really feels about the Beyonce and Jay-Z duet, “Drunk in Love.”
