Few were surprised when G. Dep was found guilty at his recent murder trial. Nearly two years ago, G. Dep turned himself in for a 1993 robbery-turned-murder. After turning himself in, G. Dep pleaded ‘not guilty,’ saying he had no idea the person died. Later, his legal team said G. Dep was probably high when he turned himself in.

G. Dep’s attempts to change the story led to more people belieiving in his guilt. After nearly two years of being in custody, G. Dep went to trial. When the trial began, G. Dep said he is guilty, but believed he was being pinned for the wrong crime. G. Dep said he believes the person he robbed survived and someone else killed the victim, who was the topic of discussion.

The story was panned by the jury, who found G. Dep guilty of second degree murder. Preparing to begin his prison stint, of at least fifteen years, G. Dep spoke to MTV News about the situation.
