Since Nipsey Hussle was shot and killed in front of his The Marathon Clothing store in his hometown of Los Angeles on Sunday evening by alleged suspect Eric Holder, the support for him has been amazing. Vigils have been held for him across the country while fans in LA continue to show their support by coming to The Marathon Clothing store to pay their respects and play his music.
Something very unique happened in Los Angeles today. Gangs from all around the city united to hold a peace rally for Nipsey. Among them are bloods, crips, and more. They came from Watts, Compton, Inglewood, and Crenshaw areas of LA.
It’s amazing to see people put their differences aside to honor an LA legend who did so much for the community. Since his passing, Nipsey’s contributions to the LA community will be placed in the Congressional Record on the House floor next week by Congresswoman Karen Bass along with his Victory Lap album heading to No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart next week as well.
