Geno Smith denies being recruited by Jay-Z to join Roc Nation Sports

When it comes to the entertainment and sports business, Jay-Z has an unfair advantage, because most of the people in the business, the stars, grew up on his music. Just to have the chance to talk to Jay-Z is a dream come true for some. Then, when it gets down to business, Jay-Z knows how to flat out make money.

During the infamous NBA summer 2010 free agency period, Jay-Z was accused of coaxing LeBron James to the Nets through his music and their friendship. Clearly, Jay-Z was not, as the Miami Heat ended up reaping the benefits of LeBron James’ choice to abandon the Cleveland Cavaliers.

But, in the case of Geno Smith, there is speculation of him being recruited by Jay-Z to join Roc Nation Sports. Currently, Geno Smith and Jay-Z are being investigated due to these rumors. Geno Smith said it plain and simple to the New York Daily News, “Jay-Z did not recruit me.”
