Normally, the Dominican Republic is one of the top vacation destination spots. The nation is always being referenced in records, as Drake shouted it out on “Moment 4 Life,” with Nicki Minaj. But, since the spring, there have been several deaths reported at resorts.
Even Drake’s reference, David Ortiz “in the Dominican, Big Papi Ortiz,” got shot while down there. Exactly what happened still isn’t known, but that did nothing to help the DR’s reputation. Now, a report of a Georgia death is related to the island nation.
Jerome Jester, Jr. is a Forsyth, Georgia native and he took a trip down to the Dominican Republic, early this year. He died on March 17, after being in the DR. It was reported that he died of some kind of respiratory illness, after drinking soda that didn’t taste right.
