Ludacris is definitely an Atlanta legend forever and Georgia State University is recognizing that as well. Luda attended the school before he blew up as an artist and now, the university will be teaching a course about him, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
This course will be part of GSU’s College of Law and will be titled “The Legal Life of Ludacris.” It will discuss contracts that helped his career successful. It’s not taking any more enrollments from students as it’s already full. The course was announced on July 25. Mo Ivory will be the professor. She is an attorney who hosted her own radio show on WAOK and was at V104 in Atlanta as well.
“Success looks like students having a fundamental understanding of the legal principles and hands-on experience with issues clients deal with on a daily basis,” Ivory said on Georgia State’s website. “This allows them to go into any law firm and negotiate and advocate for fair and equitable contracts, protection of intellectual property, fair and equal pay, and job opportunities for their clients.”
It’s good to see GSU embrace Atlanta’s hip-hop culture and integrate the music into the classroom. This course should receive many positive reviews this fall and become one of the most anticipated ones on campus.
