#GERITA Plot Twist: Jerome Boateng from Germany is actually Desiigner

In 2016, “Panda” has a whole new meaning, all because of Desiigner and his way with words. Initially believed to be a Future record, “Panda” swept the nation. The song gained him co-signs from heavyweights, Kanye West and Jay Z.

Desiigner has gained much more than a co-sign from Kanye West, who added him to G.O.O.D. Music via Pusha T. After his BET Awards performance, Desiigner is clearly a big deal. It’s clearly real, now, because the internet is making fun of him.

Yesterday #GERITA took place and, out of all things, this soccer tournament became a Desiigner joke. One of the players on Germany’s team, Jerome Boateng, ended up also being a part of this joke. A person tweeted that the plot twist is that Boateng was actually Desiigner.
