Gervonta Davis arrested on domestic violence charge in Florida
Gervonta Davis, who’s one of boxing’s biggest stars, is back in more legal issues. According to TMZ, he was arrested on Tuesday night, on a battery domestic violence charge.
Exact details of Gervonta’s arrest weren’t fully specified. As of now, the 28-year-old is still in custody, though.
This incident comes as Gervonta was set to take on Hector Luis Garcia, on January 7. His last fight came back on May of this year, as he scored a victory vs Rolando Romero, via TKO, in the sixth round. Gervonta also carries an undefeated record, at 27-0.
This is one of several legal woes that Gervonta has gotten into, over the last several years. Many recall an incident that he got into in Miami in January 2020, when he dragged his baby out of a celebrity basketball event. At the time, he was arrested on one count of simple battery domestic violence. Gervonta initially denied striking her, and supposedly simply told her that they needed to leave the venue.
