Gervonta Davis’ domestic violence case gets dismissed

Gervonta Davis can finally put a legal case behind him, which is a domestic violence case involving his baby mama, from late December. An altercation allegedly occurred on December 27, in Broward County, FL. The initial claim made was that Davis hit her with a “closed hand type slap” which resulted in an abrasion on the inside of her lip.

As a result, Davis was hit with one count of misdemeanor battery. However, the star boxer went on to post bond. Furthermore, his baby mama ended up saying on Instagram, that she wasn’t assaulted in any way, neither was her child, by Davis.

“While the emotions were high I made an unnecessary call to law enforcement in an intense moment while I was frantic.”

Meanwhile, this case has now been dismissed by prosecutors’m due to Davis’ baby mama deciding to not press charges, according to TMZ. This was done as a result of Davis completing an anger management course and parenting class. The case was dropped as soon as there was confirmation that he completed these stipulations.

Davis is also fresh off of a knockout boxing win over Ryan Garcia, on April 22. That improved Davis’ professional boxing record to an undefeated 29-0.
