Gervonta Davis is one of the most dominant boxers in the game with a 23-0 record and being a world champion. The Baltimore native has been dealing with legal issues since last month though while attending a celebrity basketball game event in Miami for the week of the Super Bowl.
Davis was seen aggressively pulling his ex-girlfriend and baby mama, Dretta, away by grabbing her neck. He addressed the issue later saying he was aggressive but would never hurt the mother of his child. He ended up being booked on a domestic battery charge.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Davis has entered a not guilty plea to this charge. He was initially charged with misdemeanor simple battery domestic violence charge but posted bond. His next court date will be on March 3.
Davis has also been ordered to stay away from Dretta while the case is ongoing. Contact with her is also restricted. She ended up providing a statement to police of what happened that day.
