Over twenty years ago, Set It Off premiered and it showed both popular names, Jada Pinkett and Queen Latifah in a new light. Decades later, the two reunite for Girls Trip. This movie also shows both ladies in a new light, nothing like any of their previous movies.
The core of Jada Pinkett Smith and Queen Latifah is rounded out by powerhouse actresses, Regina Hall and Tiffany Haddish. Together, they celebrate “women of a certain age” still having fun. Rated R, Jada even gets it in with a younger man.
On Friday, Girls Trip premiered and has become an immediate box office success. This past weekend saw $30.37 million generated from box office sales. Definitely more than enough to help Girls Trip premiere at number one.
