GloRilla and Latto congratulate each other for Grammy nominations
On Tuesday, the nominees for the 2023 Grammys were officially revealed. Beyoncé led the way with nine total nominations, as new stars were recognized, as well.
GloRilla has been one of the biggest breakout artists of 2022, as she earned her first Grammy nomination. This was for her “F.N.F. (Let’s Go)” single, with Hitkidd, for Best Rap Performance. This record helped propel GloRilla to stardom at the end of the spring, as it is still a major viral hit.
Latto also earned her first Grammy nominations. She is in the categories of Best New Artist and Best Melodic Rap Performance. This was for her 2021 smash hit single, “Big Energy.”
GloRilla and Latto have since taken to Twitter, to both show each other respect, for these Grammy nods. Latto told GloRilla that this nomination is well deserved, after Glo reminisced on having doubters. Glo went on to give Latto her congratulations, as well.
A week ago, GloRilla released her debut CMG EP, “Anyways, Life’s Great.” That is projected to debut at number 10 in the US. Other hit singles include “Blessed” and “Tomorrow 2” featuring Cardi B.
Latto also released her sophomore album, “777,” in March. That saw a number 15 debut, as it was led by Big Energy. She also collaborated with Lil Wayne, Kodak Black, Childish Gambino, Lil Durk, and more.
