This summer, Quality Control Music added one of the hottest buzzing rappers out of Memphis to their roster. This was Gloss Up, who is close friends with GloRilla, who is also from Memphis and one of 2022’s biggest stars. Gloss Up was already making plenty of noise in the Memphis area, and her presence with GloRilla also definitely helped her put record labels on notice about her talents.

As a result, Gloss has since released singles such as “Broke Boy Pt. 2” featuring Bankroll Freddie, “Halloween Flow,” and “Alone.” She, Aleza, K Carbon and Slimeroni also released a buzzing viral collaboration, which was “Shabooya.”

However, Gloss’ first project on QC is also on the way. On New Year’s Day, she took to social media to announce that her “Before The Gloss Up” mixtape will arrive on January 20. Therefore, Gloss also unveiled the cover art for it, which displays herself in the studio recording songs and being next to both of her two children.

As of now, the official tracklist for Before The Gloss Up has yet to publicly be revealed, but could possibly arrive over the next week. The Alone and Broke Boy Pt. 2 singles are expected to appear on it.
