Goonew’s mother said he wanted his corpse to be in a nightclub
Over the weekend, 24-year-old Washington, D.C. rapper, Goonew’s corpse was seen propped up at Bliss Nightclub. His funeral reportedly happened there, as he was shot and killed in a robbery incident, several weeks ago. Goonew supposedly gave up his belongings, but was still shot in the back.
Fans at Bliss were seen comfortably dancing, while others stared at Goonew’s corpse uncomfortably. Bliss ended up issuing a statement, how they offered condolences to the D.C rapper’s friends and family members. They added that they didn’t know the corpse would be on display, the way it was.
Now, Goonew’s mother is speaking out, about the event. She revealed that he previously said he wanted his body in a nightclub, the way it was, according to Fox 5 D.C.. At Bliss, Goonew had sunglasses on, his jewelry, as well as an Amiri hoodie.
Goonew’s mother also said that the family simply wanted to celebrate his life, turn up, and have a party. Goonew’s last single that he released was “Back Inna Mix,” on February 26. His last project came back in March 2021, which was “Short Temper.” That project contained 15 tracks in total.
